An Introduction to OpTrust

Educational Bundle

The OpTrust Educational Bundle includes an interactive educational development session for faculty and trainees, which features: behavioral techniques of progressive entrustment, shared mental models, learning theory, and regulatory focus and motivational fit.

Entrustment Assessment

The OpTrust measurement tool enables third-party observational rating of intraopertive entrustment for both faculty and trainees.

Research

OpTrust education and assessment has enabled the advancement of entrustment knowledge. This work has been published in JAMA Surgery, Annals of Surgery, the American Journal of Surgery, Medical Educator, Surgery, the Journal of Surgical Education, Current Problems in Surgery, Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
